The story of the elegant boy Sonata from the Korean giant Hyundai is not going to end in near future. From 2001 itself Hyundai is in the race with other giants in the most happening luxury sedan segment.
The new Hyundai Sonata arrives with elagent styling and provides greater space inside especially the new model which comes with the company's newly designated fluidic styling, enhancing vehicle's driveability and best in class luxuary. STYLING
Hyundai Sonata is one of the globally well acclaimed model from the company. It is introduced with different names in different parts of the world. Mainly the new Sonata is the sixth version of Hyundai's 1985 model Stellar which was introduced in Korean market, after the passage of generations the European countries and America took the car whole heartedly into their garage.
The fluidic design makes the new Sonata a magnet to the eyeballs. The new Sonata has nothing to do with its elder brother. The fluidic design inspired by the elegance of of orchid flower is already a huge hit in the Indian market with Hyundai's Verna and Eon models, front grill with the passion of a beautiful waterfall, fluidic characteristic lines in the sides projected head lamps, wrap around LED rear lamps all these takes the new Sonata into a whole another level.
INTERIOR
The interior of the car is also inspired by the fluidic styling. The interior is finished with upmarket biege and black colour combination. A lot of similarity can be felt of the console the Sonata with that of a cockpit. The automatic model has puddle shift gears and power adjustable front seats. Hyundai has also introduced a new technology of seat ventilation with the seats.
High quality stereo audio, dual side A/C, widely opening doors for maximum comfort on entry and exit into the vehicle, ESP, ABS, park-sensor and six air bags adds to the max comfort, high perfomance suspension damper.
DRIVING
The new Sonata has the foreign 2.4 litre GDI 101PS four cylinder direct injection super perfomance engine. The engine works with thrice the amount of pressure than that of ordinary petrol engines. Here the petrol is directly pumped with great pressure. First drive accessiblity perfomance with six speed gear box, the vehicle is also available in six speed automatic transmission. Gear shift comes to the finger tips due to the implementation of puddle shift. The manual transmission model gives more pleasure of driving.
VERDICT
The fate of new Hyundai Sonata rests with introduction of diesel engines. Currently the car is only available in petrol model. The Hyundai Sonata comes with the rate tag of RS 18.5 lakhs- 20.66 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
